Our History

It takes a special kind of organization to see the potential, and the capabilities, of people living with an intellectual disability.

Founded in 1962 as ARC Industries, renamed Versatech Industries Inc. in 1986, then renamed ImagineAbility in 2012, the organization was started by parents to provide meaningful employment and recreational activities for people with a wide range of intellectual challenges. Today, ImagineAbility supports over 200 people in contract manufacturing, supported employment and day programs at one of our two locations.

Over the 50+ years of existence, ImagineAbility has seen many changes but it’s core support and business has been contract manufacturing. Customers such as Coghlan’s, Boeing, Brock White and MLCC rely on ImagineAbility to produce their products. Besides contract manufacturing, ImagineAbility provides contract filling services to Amsted Rail Company. We also provide recycling services for Manitoba Hydro at one of their locations.
